Fruitcake Studio is a professional webdesign company in The Netherlands, specialised in designing and delivering Magento web shops. Magento is an open source platform, perfect for large B2C and B2B shops. For a challenging web application we collaborated successfully to meet the needs of Fruitcake’s client.

Fruitcake’s client, Cello Zorg, is an organisation that gives their clients with disabilities daily support. This support includes offering daily meals. The challenge we faced was "how can clients pick the food they like, order it online and schedule the delivery, in such a way that the web shop works seamless with the kitchen?"

The Solution

The Solution

Using Magento as the main order platform, we created an application that made it possible for clients to pick their menu, even with the option of changing their minds, right up to the day before delivery. The ‘wish-list’ is automatically converted to an order. With smart API’s, the orders are directly sent to the kitchen. No human intervention is needed, saving work and money.

The Results

Cello Zorg’s clients can now order different menu’s for different dates through the web shop. They can alter their wish list until one day before the delivery date, then their shopping basket is automatically converted to an order for the kitchen.

Ordering System

Ordering is really simple through the Magento website. The workaround for the client is easy, and the kitchen and delivery orders are linked automatically.

Schedule a Delivery

What and when, the two main questions, are all handled seamless through the link between web shop and ERP systems. Saving work and money!

Health

Linking up with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, clients can check beforehand whether the menu they selected is healthy and suitable for their personal needs.
